Two Poems

Two interrelated poems to help get me into a scene I’m writing.

Eternal Black Meadow

I have been to the eternal black meadow,

a place of fern and metal.

It is a drifting place

in a galaxy of space

O, yes

I have been to the eternal black meadow.

Yet, even space breaks.

 Buried

Cramped inside shadow’s lock

Bones hissing

Nowhere to move

Brown blood flooding

Lungs baking

Nowhere to move

Muscles screaming

Air fleeting

Nowhere to move

O where is my eternal black meadow?
